Come On Down and Laugh them Away at The Comedy Club
Where Fun & Laughter is #1....

Sept. 2, 3, & 4...Jason Laurans /$9

Cananda's Top Funny Guy...

Jason Laurans fires jokes out the way a fully automatic submachine gun spits bullets. Dropped in a vat of caffeine as a child, he never fails to light up a room with gales of laughter with his highly energetic and fast paced comedy. Jason rips into popular music, dating and just about anything else using bizarre sound effects, animated gestures and audience participation.

A veteran of years of touring throughout Canada and the United States , Jason has appeared on national television numerous times on shows such as: "Comedy at Club 54" and "The Fruitopia Comedy Festival". Another highlight was representing Ottawa at the Homegrown Comedy Competition of the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal .

Not satisfied with merely being a hit comic in demand across North America, Jason opened Ottawa 's Absolute Comedy Club in 2004. Since then, it has become one of the most popular nightclubs in the city, partially due to Jason's regular apparances on that stage. The weekly performances have allowed Jason to hone his skills, making him one of the sharpest acts working the circuit today.

"Jason Laurans bounds onstage. In a minute, this human nerve ending has the place roaring with his hilarious descriptions of mundane situations. The room turned into what it's supposed to be... a comedy club!"
-Eve Edmonds, The Ottawa Sun

"On a personal note, I found your performance wonderful. Although my work with children who have cancer is very fulfilling, it is oftentimes stressful.Your performance alleviated that stress and I was impressed with your timing and ability to incorporate the audience in a tasteful and extremely humourous way."
-William R. Frid, Director, Camp Trillium

"I liked Jason's performance the best! He was the greatest!!"
-Jason's Ex-Girlfriend's Ex-Best Friend

"Yes Rochester He is BACK"......
it's been a long time since Rob has made us laugh...this week will be a blast and if you have not seen rob...come on down, and see what stand up comedy is all about

Sept. 16, 17 & 18..Rob Little /$10

Fortunately, Rob’s ability to see things in a positive light, coupled with his desire to make people laugh, has served him well.  While working in a lucrative position as a computer programmer for IBM, he decided to take a huge risk. The Detroit-born comic sent out an ALL-company e-mail that read "If you aren't happy here, quit your job and follow your dream." IBM promptly gave him his walking papers, but getting fired was a blessing for Rob and comedy lovers nationwide.  He now enjoys an incredibly successful career as a standup comedian and with an impressive and growing portfolio of television and film appearances, he is quickly earning national recognition.

Watch Rob in action, and you’ll agree that he is one of the very best stand-up comedians in the country.  A sketch comedy player on the Fox Sports Net Show, "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" and "Last Call with Carson Daly," Little uses his training from the world famous Second City Comedy Club to create routines that are inventive, funny, spontaneous, and completely unique. He headlines clubs and colleges all over the country, has appeared in national television commercials and on such shows as “Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew,” Comedy Central's “Distraction,” Fox News and SiTV's “Latino Laugh Festival.”  He also earned a role on the CBS network summer hit series, “Fire me Please.”   Rob’s recently released 2nd comedy DVD/CD, “Haulin’ Ass,” is another testament to his talent and status as a comedic force.

Having established himself as one of the funniest, most progressive, new comedians in the country, it’s easy to understand why entertainment bookers call him "The Future of comedy with more contagious energy than the Energizer Bunny."  The Detroit Free press selected him as Michigan's “Best up and Coming Comedian,” and he earned the title of “finalist” in both the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.  Rob was also selected as a feature performer at the Chicago Comedy Festival along with the Boston Comedy and Movie Festival.  And in 2007 Rob was named Maxim Magazine’s “Real Man of Comedy”.

 1st. Time In Rochester...we can't wait...
One of new up & coming  Rising Stars of Comedy...
A Do Not Miss Comedy Show...
Rodney Will Rock The House

Sept. 30, Oct 1 & 2...Rodney Laney /$9

 www.myspace.com/rodneylaney

Born and raised in Paterson New Jersey, Rodney has always been a comedian. Even as a toddler, he would entertain at family gatherings, most of the time against his will. Years of therapy have helped him recover from these traumatic times. Thanks to Rodney's school years, school administrators decided corporal punishment was no longer necessary in the school system; they now want capital punishment!

Laney's comedy career started capriciously in 1988. While in the Air Force, stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio, he accompanied a fellow airman, an amateur comic, to a comedy club. His friend bombed, but Rod took the stage and received thunderous applause. It was instant addiction; for Rodney it was the stage, for his friend it was crack cocaine.

For the next decade, he performed at open mikes, private parties, and wherever he got the chance. His professional career began in 1997. He commenced performing in clubs and colleges from New York to California. He was featured at Chris Tucker's Comedy Club in Atlanta, during the Urban Comedy Festival "Laffapalooza" and Judy Carter's comedy showcase in Big Bear California. He mostly appears in NYC, at the Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Caroline's and Dangerfield's.

Some comics wait for their big break, not Rod, he is making his big break. In 2001 he acted and executive produced his first feature film "Pride & Loyalty," which started its pay per view release June 2002. It starred an array of soap stars from "One Life to Live," "Guiding Light," and "All My Children" including: Marj Dusay, Gina Tognoni, John Bolger and Emmy nominated Rebecca Budig.

In 2002, he played Willie in the comedy "Tinsel Town," by Public Defender Pictures. It starred Paul Taylor, (2001 Emmy nominee from "As the World Turns") John Palumbo, ("OZ") Johnny Williams,
("GoodFellas," "Honeymoon in Vegas") and Eileen Fulton (Emmy-winning veteran from "As the World Turns").

Most recently, Rodney has completed pilots for Comedy Central, MTV, A&E and has been seen on P.Diddy's "Bad Boys of Comedy" on HBO, Fox News Channel's "Red Eye," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," CBS, Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," and in London on the BBC's "The World Stand's Up." He has also appeared at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Determination may be Rodney Laney's biggest asset; according to his credit report, his only asset. He is ambitious, professional, and determined to make it in the world known as Comedy.
